Former Justice Erin P. Gall has earned a reputation as a skilled jurist with a keen ability to efficiently and professionally resolve complex litigation. She is known for her patience, knowledge, creativity, impartiality and commitment to the settlement process.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
At age 40, Judge Gall was elected to the NYS Supreme Court bench in November of 2011 and served for 13 years. Prior, she served as Confidential Law Clerk to the Honorable Barry M. Donalty, Acting Supreme Court Justice for 13 years. Erin also served as Assistant Public Defender in family court. Throughout her extensive career in the court system, Erin Gall negotiated settlements in all areas of the law including contract, labor, medical malpractice, personal injury, commercial, real estate, matrimonial, family, tort and all other categories of civil actions. Most notably, in her capacity as Regional Asbestos Trial Judge, Erin Gall efficiently managed a rapid docket spanning 42 counties in New York. She decided over 1800 motions annually and settled more than 300 multi-defendant cases over the course of five years. In her more than 26 years in the court system, she presided over thousands of cases spanning a multitude of practice areas and has become well known throughout New York State as an energetic, dedicated and skilled jurist. Erin spoke nationally at conferences and educated other judges on effective methods of mediation and negotiation.
Erin Gall completed 40 hours of advanced commercial mediation training and has received Part 146 certification.
Erin Gall is past president of the Women’s Bar Association-Mid York Chapter, a member of the Oneida and Herkimer County Bar Associations, and has served in numerous capacities as a section and committee member for the New York State Bar Association and has presented at local and state conferences and trainings. She is a past member of the New York State Association of Supreme Court Justices and New York State Association of Women Judges. Erin Gall is admitted to practice law in New York and Massachusetts.
